The Nordic Labour History Conferences have been organized by the Labor history institutes of the Nordic countries since 1974. The last conference was organized in 2005, in Runö, Sweden and we believe the time has come to pick up where we left off.
We want to use the opportunity to bring together scholars and students of Nordic labor history or labor history of one of the Nordic countries to discuss their research but also to get an overview over the current field of labor history. We also want to broaden the field of labor history by encouraging research beyond traditional labor organizations – although they should be part of this conference as well – by enlarging the scope in time and space.
